Working with motion in the studio is really fun. Doris Land has amazing natural light and that’s perfect for capturing video. We also have a piece of plywood with carpet on it and wheels that I have been using as a dolly. The tripod is an older heavy-duty one and it glides around on this mover dolly like butter.

Rebecca and I captured this video while we were creating an editorial in the studio.

The editorial is being published and I will share it here when it hits the stands.

A new stockist, well a return to a stockist with some new product.

Do you know what a stockist is? It took me a minute to realize what it was but it’s kinda simple. It’s a store that carries your stock and I am so happy to announce I am back at Hunter and Hare.

I ran into Mickey, one of the amazing people who started the consignment shop recently and let her know that I have been upcycling and embroidering denim.

The pairs featured below are available in store now for you to try on, they retail for $100 each. The denim is upcycled and super soft. Stop by, say Hi and try a pair on, they will feel like you never want to take them off.

Now that fall is on the horizon it might be a perfect time to pick up your new favourite pair of jeans.

Antonio reached out to me through Instagram asking if I would be interested in making a promo video with him. Of course I said YES! It was perfect timing and I could tell right away he was serious about it. Our first meeting was scheduled during an editorial I was shooting for Spring. He was early and not feeling well but didn't want to cancel.

He got the lay of the land in my live work studio and showed me an example of what he was thinking, I was in. He excused himself and we made plans to meet the next week for my next shoot day.

He came prepared, story board, questions, quick and easy gear to set up and he's very personable. I'd give him a reference any day.

We have one more shoot together before we cut the final in the mean time here is the BTS video he created on the day.

I have been working on a long term photo project since 2021. This is one of the images I submitted to the Italian Vogue - Photo Vogue portal and it was accepted. . I submit every week by staying up past 11 on Sunday, the submission portal is only open for a few hours each week. I plan my submissions and keep an active folder on my desktop. I just found these in my archives. . I just checked my entire feed on instagram and they were never posted. They were published in Vigour magazine, in print, I have the copy. . March 2015, shot in Toronto in my home studio. I lived above an Italian restaurant at Yonge and Eglington. The space was huge and I had a skylight. I could hear the people at the restaurant sing happy birthday. It was adorable. . This editorial was created with @tmesseng and edited by @kehli_g our MUA was Erica who doesn’t have social media anymore. . I feel pretty lucky to still be doing this a decade later and I intend on continuing into the next one and the next. I love my job. I see the world through a lens, I have since I was 12 and my stepfather gave me my first camera.
