Working in studio for the first time in over a year.

Cracked the studio kit for the first time since the pandemic hit, and I’m really happy with the result.

This guy moved to Vancouver with hopes of becoming an actor, he’s great at working with the camera so I have a lot of hope for him. We had a great time working together, I was masked, he was masked when not on camera and we both kept a safe social distance for the entire shoot.

I used natural light because we saw sunshine and bright skies for the first time since I’m not sure when. The blooms are starting and the sun has been peeking out. Everyone has a bit more of a skip in their step. We are lucky here on the West Coast with our seasons and I think this year, we are more grateful than ever.

This industry I am in has changed so much and there are many of us trying to figure out which way to go next and the truth is we are still in the middle of it so we don’t know. All we can do is keep moving forward and making new work is how I am choosing to do that.

Thanks N, for coming to the studio to work with me. It felt good to get back into the swing of things again.
